SMD+ (Smart Motion Detection)

SMD (Smart Motion Detection) applies an A.I deep learning algorithm to the motion detection meta data received from a video stream and is able to distinguish and flag ONLY objects that are either a 'HUMAN' or a 'MOTOR VEHICLE' and excludes all other types of motion. This is a much more accurate form of motion detection then previous versions and significantly reduces false alerts, and allows for much quicker searching of events.

Benefits of using Smart Motion Detection (SMD+)

Smart Motion Detection saves considerable time when reviewing footage because the A.I filters out types of video except those that contain a human and/or a motor vehicle. Compare this to searching using existing motion detection (non-A.I) which will typically trigger motion on the following events in the cameras field of view: Trees moving in the wind, Sun casting shadows during the day, lights from vehicles head lights even when the vehicle is not in the cameras field of view

Perimeter Protection (PP)

Perimeter Protection applies an A.I deep learning algorithm to meta data received from a video stream and is able to distinguish and flag ONLY objects that are either a 'HUMAN' or a 'MOTOR VEHICLE'. Additionally, unlike SMD which usually by default applies to the entire cameras field of view, PP allows you to be more selective about where within the cameras field of view an event can be flagged or triggered. To do this you create rules, which are either polygon boxes or Tripwires. For example, you can create a box around an area or object within the cameras field of view that will flag any human or vehicle intruding into that box, or you could create a tripwire rule that alerts you when a person or vehicle crosses through this line. This allows for highly targeted and accurate event flagging and significantly reduces false triggers, and allows for much quicker searching of events.

Benefits of Perimeter Protection

Like SMD, Perimeter Protection saves considerable time when reviewing footage because the A.I filters out types of video except those that contain a human and/or a motor vehicle, Perimeter Protection goes further by allowing you to target a specific area within the cameras field of view and also create specific regions (or perimeters) around entrances, fences or sensitive equipment. Note: Perimeter Protection should not be confused with traditional “IVS” which looks very similar but does not support A.I deep learning filtering.

Below are some examples of using Perimeter Protection. Perimeter Protection events can also be pushed to mobile phone app so you are alerted immediately upon area being intruded on, you can also have it so these notifications are only pushed at certain times of the day. The blue boxes/lines indicate Intrusion rule area or tripwire.
